Conan O'Brien made a spoof from it that cracks me up. Anyways, for Thirsty Thursday be prepared to laugh your head off. Because I know it did. Not literally of course. Vacation on my mind

Winter and end of school always has vacationing on my mind due to burnt out brain cells and the need to relax by a pool. As I'm sitting here, frustration brewing over the portfolio website I'm trying to create for class and post gradiation needs (do what I say Dreamweaver!) I can't help but think of our little post graduation trip we are planning... VEGAS BABY!

I can't wait to relax and think of something else besides my list of things to do. You know I love typography, so naturally I want to hit up the Las Vegas Boneyard!

If you aren't familiar with this fabulous place, it's where all old signage goes to rest in peace. I like to call it, typography heaven.  Besides the Boneyard, we don't have any other plans. For those of you who have been to Vegas recently, any suggestions of must see places? Restaurants?

Beauty is...

The other day my beautiful sister asked me if I could help her out with something. "Of course!" I said. This excitement stemmed from my sisters situation. Let me tell you... She recently moved to DC to try something in life she's always wanted to do. I say "Bravo!" to that! While moving into her new place, she's having so much fun decorating. You know I'm all about that :) She called me asking if I could make her a print that she could hang in her bathroom. After talking over her vision* (hint hint) this is what I came up with:

Stop Motion Video

Projects, projects, projects. I've been full of them lately :) Working on a website, putting together a business plan, work and school... I still somehow manage to find time to make a stop motion video with 500 frames. Each frame was photographed, re-sized and edited for this concept by yours truely (along with recording my beautiful voice. JK ah I hate hearing the sound of my voice). This is my first ever video podcast. I'm so excited to see it all come together and I hope you like it!

Today for inspiration we are headed to hula seventy. This lovely lady is a photographer in Portland, the city which I've lived and loved. She has some beauties on her site so go check them out. void

There has been a void in my life. Geometric patterns is what's been missing. I'm sure you are sighing in exasperation saying "Oh Emily!" But no really! I have. Generally speaking I'm an organic girl. Organic in the sense of shape, not produce. I'm drawn to curved edges or things found in nature. As of late, I keep googly-eyeing all things geometric. There is something so crisp and wonderful about them. I think that life is about having the perfect mix. Here are a few I've had my eye on.
